We tailor the mix design (dosage, type of product) with the concrete producers to the specific application — precast, ready-mix, screed, non-structural or structural. We run application-specific lab tests with your concrete producer to ensure performance and compliance.

Typically, costs are balanced by the carbon benefits (Scope 3 reductions, insetting) and by reducing high-impact materials like cement.

Yes. The production of eLM Zero is factory-controlled and the product complies with the requirements for use in concrete applications according to EN 12878. It is CE-certified under AVCP System 2+ and follows the Carbonfuture CSI methodology for carbon storage validation. Our Processing Hub is also EBC certified, which is the highest standard for processing and handling biochar.
We operate within the standard concrete production process — no retrofitting, no special equipment required. Current projects across DACH & NL demonstrate full practical approval in real applications.

Typically 2–9 weeks, depending on:

• Application type
• Availability of the concrete producer
• If we already work with the concrete producer
• Required testing (fresh concrete, hardened concrete, durability)

Early involvement speeds things up significantly, especially for tendering and structural applications.

ecoLocked stores stable carbon permanently inside concrete products used directly in your project ("Insetting"). This storage is MRV-verified via Carbonfuture and Cula and counted within your own Scope 3 emissions — not as external offsets.
You reduce the GWP of your concrete and achieve verifiable climate effects that can be reported under established standards - either in the form of an EPD (product / project based) or carbon credits (company level).

Yes, ecoLocked is in the process of issuing a full third-party verified EPD, aligned with EN 15804 and including the biogenic carbon storage effect.
Project-specific EPD scenarios can be prepared together with the concrete producer.
We also supply all relevant LCA data for early planning phases.

In practice, our products work very well in all standard exposure classes, especially when used in the approved dosage.
For applications with high chemical requirements, we recommend project-specific tests, as with any innovative additive. We support the mix development and check compliance with standards together with the concrete plant. As a general rule, most applications have already been successfully tested.
